Community Microchip Scanner

Share Blog:

October 2014 – Stray pups in our community often find their way to our Fire Station 26. They graciously held pups until owners could be found, and I was happy to provide them a crate. One pup, I went to scan, he was microchipped! He was reunited with a very happy family. I thought wouldn’t it be great if the station had their own scanner! I reached out through Facebook, to our community, and they answered ! in less than one hour, we raised the funds to purchase the scanner. Once it arrived I went with Ben to present it and demonstrate its use, and provide all the phone numbers they would need. This has helped get many pups home fast and our emergency responders back to business at hand!
