Raven is an adorable, spicy, long haired chihuahua, with a big personality. She was surrendered to us back in September, due to circumstances beyond her families control. She was a little fearful at first, but, once she became comfortable, she fit right into the pack. She can be a little fresh during meal time as she likes to bowl surf with her housemates. She’s been to events, and does very well with new people, we did notice she was nervous around children. She does suffer from dermatitis, which has improved significantly. Tabitha was found as a stray at a car dealership. The person who saw her thought she may have been hit by car, as she was very wobbly as she walked. She was brought to Animal Care and Control and a local vet pulled her from there. She brought her home during the holidays, and she noticed she was improving a little every day. They did x-rays and found no prior injuries. She asked if we would help this poor little girl, and we said yes. She took her to the neurologist in the meanwhile and they noted some nerve damage. So we picked her up and she instantly bonded with us all. She has many friends she goes outside with and gets along with everyone. She’s been to events, and she does wonderfully out in public. Poncho is a super sweet Min Pin approximately 7-8 years old. He was surrendered to us in May. We made him comfortable and in a few short days, he warmed right up to us. He spends most days laying around watching tv, he likes to go out in the yard and walk around. We noticed he doesn’t play with any of the toys we have, but that doesn’t matter as long as he’s happy. Charlie is a sweetheart at around 6 years old, this young man has been through quite a bit. He was surrendered to us back years ago, and only spent a short time with us, before he was adopted to a loving family. Unfortunately his Dad passed away suddenly and his Mom was overwhelmed with grief. She then developed some serious health issues of her own and had to move into an assisted living facility. Pepe is an adorable sweet natured young man…about 2 years old he and his housemate wandered off and eluded many people who tried to capture them. Once they were safely taken off the street they were brought here. Unfortunately when we did the heartworm test…he was positive. we started his treatment right away. Today he got his first injection and will get the second one tomorrow. After 30 days of rest, he will be ready for his loving forever home. Finley is an absolute doll , he’s approximately 5-6 years old with a loving personality. Finley was found as a stray, brought to the county shelter. We were called right away, and we immediately went and picked him up. He was in a lot of pain from an old injury, which thankfully only needed rest. After a few weeks of taking it easy he began playing out the yard with all of his housemates. He’s super sweet and very friendly, gets along well with everyone he meets here.
He had been adopted and he loved his family immensely and they loved him, but he became protective very early on. He would bark at anyone who came near the young boy when they came to the house. He responded the same with other dogs on walks in the neighborhood. He would likely do better in a home without young children and less visitors. He would love a fenced in yard to run and play in. Hi there, my name is Pine. I’m about four years old it’s a pleasure to meet you..so a few months ago..I was running around in the farm lands..having so much fun..I ended up down the street from Barky Pines and that’s the beginning of my journey!! They came to scan me only to find I had no microchip and I wasn’t fixed either oh boy that would all change very quickly!! As you can see I’m a big boy..I was so thankful that they took me in despite my size..as it turned out they have an air conditioned condo with color tv and a nice cozy bed..and that was to be my own personal space!! Wow just got here and I’m treated like a king!! I really never stayed indoor before and it took some getting used to in the beginning!! Now I can’t wait for my walk and I happily go right back inside to enjoy some tv! I love to be walked around the huge property but I do like to chase the cats and occasionally a chicken or duck..I am a very sweet boy I’m getting used to being pet and love. Saturn is a 4 year-old Jack Russell chi mix. We pulled him from Animal Care and Control , with a hind leg injury which we took care of surgically right away. He has been with us for over a year and a half. His leg has healed perfectly and now his personality has shown through. Saturn is an absolute sweetheart, ONCE HE KNOWS YOU, he loves to give kisses and being held. He walks wonderfully on a leash and is completely house trained. Linus is 7 year old rat terrier mix. Linus had a bad ear infection when he first came to the farm, back in August, which we treated right away. He was very shy at first, not feeling well, but as time passed and he healed up, he’s come along way. He’s made friends with all of his housemates, and when they are out for playtime, he runs around with everyone, He loves to give kisses now and is very affectionate. Scout is approximately 4 years old and looks like he could be a miniature Irish Setter! Scout was captured after being spotted for over a week in a community. He is neutered and up to date on vaccines. He gets along with other dogs and loves to run around the yard doing zooming and playing chase me with the others. He is a little shy with people, but we have been working on that and he has come a long way. He now likes pets and attention.
