Great Charity Challenge 2024

What an exciting evening for all of the local non profits!

Our Team Mad Season LLC and sponsor Little Creek Equestrian were amazing ! With our Hell’s Kitchen themed costumes, they ranked 10th of 34 teams! AMAZING ! 5th Annual Puppy Love 5k

We are just over a week away from our 5th annual Puppy love 5k!

It is hard to believe this is our 5th year of doing this amazing race. It has brought so much awareness to our mission of saving the urgent, homeless pets of Palm Beach County.

We owe it all to Leadership Palm Beach County, who in 2019, chose Barky Pines’ project to support. Our amazing Class of 2020 broke the ceiling for LPBC projects with the amount of support they derived. We could not be more grateful to them.

We hope you can join us in celebrating not only this milestone, but all the rescued pets of our shelter. Thank you!

Barky Pines has the honor of be one of the randomly selected charities benefiting from The Great Charity Challenge 2024.

We are so grateful for this opportunity. The Great Charity Challenge 2024 will not only provide much needed funding, but create awareness of our mission to save the urgent, homeless pets of Palm Beach County.

Mr. Bean Makes it to the Puppy Bowl!

Our very own Mr. Bean, AKA Roo, has made it to the Puppy Bowl! He is proud to represent the Great State of Florida in the 20th annual Puppy Bowl.

He hopes to raise awareness of not only adoption of homeless pets, but those with special needs. Mr. Bean may have been born without front legs, but that does not stop him from being an amazing, happy and loving boy!

Please tune in February 11 at 2 pm , pregame 1pm, on Animal Planet and Discovery + to cheer on Mr. Bean, the Lean, Mean, Tackling Machine.

Animal Zone TV

Barky Pines has been featured on the amazing Animal Zone TV show. Host Arthur and his amazing team flew around the Country to highlight rescued animals. We had the honor to be featured in Season 8, Episode 12 and we are so grateful!

This educational and informative show airs on Cox Networks Saturday Mornings at 8:30am. We love this show because it is family oriented and talks about the care of all types of animals. Their focus on rescues and their care, their plight and their resilience, is wonderful.

4th Annual Puppy Love 5k

We hope you will be joining us for our 4th annual Puppy love 5k race! This event offers a chip timed option as well as a fun run or walk and a virtual option!

We are changing up our location this year to Acreage Community Park in Loxahatchee. A section of the course will bring you along the beautiful preserve. This area is grass, the remaining portion is on pavement. See the course map below.

Race start is 8 am. We will be starting chipped and non chipped runners and walkers whose pets are joining them, as the faster chipped timed runners head into their 3rd lap. This will avoid ay trip hazards at the narrower portions of the course as everyone’s safety is important to us.

As always there will be top finisher prizes and medals for everyone who participates as well as our classic race tees.

If you are bringing your pet, consider entering our pet costume contest because we love seeing all the dressed up pets!

As always, we have some amazing raffles for our chance drawing. Our gratitude to the local businesses who provide them!
